Date Published

Boston Properties, Delaware North, and officials from the City of Boston and the State of Massachusetts celebrated the official groundbreaking of The Hub on Causeway, a 1.5 million-square-foot mixed-use development on the site of the former Boston Garden. The phased project will include spaces for retail, an office tower, hotel, and residential tower, along with an expansion of the TD Garden on the 2.5 acre site.

“The Hub on Causeway will be a great addition to the West End neighborhood, bringing thousands of jobs and a much-needed vibrancy to the area,” said Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh. “This development will have a transformative effect on the neighborhood, with housing, office space, a hotel, supermarket, retail, and restaurant space being added. I thank all partners involved for their commitment to this project and I look forward to seeing it through to the finish line.”

SCB is the design architect of the residential tower. Gensler is the architect for the commercial spaces. The project is being constructed by John Moriarty & Associates. Boston Properties will manage all development aspects of the project. Delaware North is owner and operator of TD Garden.
