The SCB and Palmer-Tech Services entry in this year's CANstruction event has won the People's Choice Award.

Entitled "The Grand CAN-yon", the sculpture is constructed out of nearly 4500 cans of food.


Last month, SCB and Palmer-Tech Services joined 19 other teams of architects, engineers, and contractors to compete for the most creative and best constructed sculpture built from cans of food, which would ultimately be donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.  CANstruction is an annual design competition that raises millions of pounds of food for community food banks nationwide. 


The sculptures are installed at the Merchandise Mart for viewing by the general public before the donations will be delivered to local families in need.  Hear more about the "Grand CAN-yon" here:
