San Francisco Leadership Evolution at Solomon Cordwell Buenz
Solomon Cordwell Buenz (SCB), an award-winning architecture, interior design and planning firm with offices in Chicago and San Francisco, announced today that Chris Pemberton, AIA has been made a principal. Pemberton, 46, has been with SCB since 2004 and has led the firm’s San Francisco office since its inception in 2007. Pemberton recently recruited three former principals from Sasaki Associates, Inc. to strengthen and enhance SCB’s institutional practice as part of the firm’s west coast growth strategy.
The three recruits who will add their institutional experience to SCB include Tim Stevens, 45, AIA; Strachan Forgan, 39, RIBA and Vitas Viskanta, 50, AIA. Collectively they have served many of the western region’s most progressive and prestigious colleges and universities that include Stanford University (Palo Alto, CA.), the University of California – Riverside, Davis, Merced, and San Diego - Oregon State University (Corvallis, OR.), University of San Francisco, Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ) and the University of Arizona (Tucson, AZ). Their experience with higher education projects has focused on student life facilities and learning environments that include housing, recreation, athletics and graduate programs.
