SCB Appoints New Director of Aviation Services

Solomon Cordwell Buenz – SCB has appointed Tom Chambers, AIA, as Director of Aviation Services. Chambers brings over 30 years of aviation design and planning experience and an impressive global portfolio to his leadership role.  His work includes the groundbreaking United Airlines’ Terminal One and the Façade and Circulation Enhancement (FACE) projects at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport; the new passenger terminal for the Duluth International Airport; the Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand and Terminal 2 at the Cologne/Bonn International Airport in Germany.

In addition to passenger terminals, he has been involved in airport projects ranging from parking facilities to air traffic control towers in a variety of lead roles including project manager, technical coordinator, planner and designer and has participated in a host of airport renovation projects, aviation-design studies and competitions.
