The University of California, Merced has retained SCB for the design of their new Classroom and Academic Office Building.  The three-story, 77,273 SF facility will provide large format general assignment lecture halls, tutorial classrooms, research labs, with supporting administrative and academic office space.  The UC Merced campus is the newest in the University of California system. It is strategically located to address the Central Valley’s higher education needs, the state’s fastest-growing region. With the goal to become the greenest campus in the country, the building is targeted to achieve LEED Platinum certification.
