Emily is an Associate Principal and Project Manager with SCB.  She has more than 20 years of experience in the practice of Architecture with a variety of building types such as single and multi-family residential, mixed-use, hospitality, higher education, commercial, medical, and public. She has successfully led both large and small-scale projects from concept design through construction.  As a Project Manager, she works with clients to establish project goals and requirements, and then assembles external and internal teams to deliver projects that meet those requirements.  She is responsible for the day-to-day management of projects and serves as the client contact. She administers contracts, establishes design schedules, oversees the preparation of project deliverables and permitting, and manages the architectural and consultant team for conformance to the project requirements during all project phases.

Emily is also a Studio Leader at SCB.  In this role she oversees one of our five architectural studios which focuses on residential, commercial, hospitality, and higher education projects.  She manages staffing and resources for the studio and supports the various continuing education initiatives and team building activities. Her support for the sharing of technical information among staff and studios enables SCB to continue to be a leader both in the field of architecture and in work places.  Emily has participated with our LEAP Sand Castle team, served as a guest critic at the San Francisco Academy of Art,  worked with the SF Moma Matches program for youth, and is active in the AIA.  In her free time she enjoys taking advantage of the wide variety of activities available in the Bay Area, from rock climbing to attending operas to everything in between.
