Fernando Araujo is both a Studio Head and Studio Technical Director, providing leadership during the design and execution of projects, and overseeing quality control procedures. With over 24 years of experience focused on design, documentation, and implementation of high performance building enclosures, Fernando leads SCB’s Building Envelope Working Group, studying market trends and monitoring solutions to common enclosure challenges. His expertise includes design of large-scale health care, laboratory, aviation, corporate, higher education, and multi-family residential projects.
Fernando serves on the Board of Directors for the Building Enclosure Council of Chicago. He also acted as Chair and served on the Board of Directors of Programs for CSI Chicago since 2011. He has presented on Integrated Design and High Performance Enclosures at AIA and CSI professional development seminars and conferences. He is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology, is certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Board, and is a registered City of Chicago Energy Professional.
