As an Associate Principal and Senior Designer at SCB, Gary Klompmaker provides design team leadership for a wide variety of projects. His work encompasses high-rise residential, mixed-use, office, and institutional projects. With a career spanning 30 years, he brings to each project a wealth of experience while developing new ideas and driving the firm into new directions.
Gary’s portfolio of high-rise construction has led to skyline impact in large American cities. Recent projects include 1911 Walnut Street, a 700,000-square-foot, 50-story mixed-use multifamily tower in Philadelphia, PA; Buckhead Village, a 35-unit luxury apartment complex in Atlanta, GA; Post Oak, a 675,000-square-foot, 38-story residential tower in Houston, TX; and Addison Park on Clark, a 516,000-square-foot mixed-use project that combines 150 residential units and 140,000 square feet of retail near Wrigley Field in Chicago.
Gary earned his Master of Architecture at the University of Michigan. He is an active member of the AIA and the Chicago Architecture Foundation.
