SCB has provided ongoing renovation services to the Chicago Hilton since the mid-1980s, when the firm began a major renovation that included the reduction of 2,300 guest rooms to 1,620, which were redesigned to become larger and more luxurious.

At that time, SCB also reconfigured and remodeled 242,400 SF of public spaces. The design team restored ballrooms and pre-function areas to their original elegance, while maintaining a thoughtful approach to harmonizing new restaurants, lounges, and entertainment areas with the restored spaces.
Recently, SCB and Looney Associates completed the first phase of a four year $140 million renovation plan that included the complete renovation of 454 guestrooms along with 11 of the hotel’s specialty suites and common areas. In total, each room received complete furnishing and finish enhancements along with the associated corridors, elevator lobbies, and ADA improvements.
