Terminal 1 Gate Rebrand | O’Hare International Airport
With the 2012 merger of Continental Airlines and United Airlines, United sought to rebrand themselves and create a consistent, fresh image. As part of this effort, SCB was engaged to implement the new design standards in the passenger boarding lounges at its flagship hub, Terminal 1 at O’Hare International Airport.
Interior elements to feature the branding include agent podiums, passenger seating, boarding group signage, and wall and floor finishes. The new branding guidelines are appropriately designed for each level of the United experience with a different set of products for large hub, small hub, and non-hub locations. Each product is designed in uniform and clearly illuminates United’s brand.
The updated United products are consistent in their blue and white colors and materials throughout all aspects of the passenger experience, including aircraft livery.
