Global Service Centers
The Global Service Center at O’Hare International Airport is designated for United Airlines’ priority customers. It provides a distinctive and customer-focused check-in experience that allows premier travelers to bypass lines, receive priority baggage handling, and find immediate access to a TSA checkpoint.
SCB developed this installation of the Global Services concept into United’s international standard, establishing the theme and materials palette implemented worldwide. The project’s design priorities included the seamless integration of technology in an uncluttered scheme and the ability to modify and upgrade customer check-in equipment on a continual basis. In addition to this space at O’Hare, SCB designed the new 1,500-square-foot Global Services Reception at San Francisco International Airport to the same standard. Complete with branded architectural elements, the space is custom designed to allow for a unique and personal check-in experience for United’s elite customers, and serves as a comfortable yet efficient entry to the adjacent new Security Checkpoint in Terminal 3.
