The University of California, Davis Welcome Center serves as the campus’ front door for prospective undergraduate students. Sited at a prominent arrival location, the Welcome Center shares adjacencies with other campus outreach icons like the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts and the Buehler Alumni Center.

Programmatically, the Welcome Center includes an information desk, a digital lounge with interactive media and display, a refreshment center, and rooms hosting a variety of meeting formats—ranging from a 120-seat presentation hall to one-on-one counseling spaces. The interior environment of the 8,000 SF Center is designed to complement the campus’ commitment to sustainable design, and includes renewable cork flooring; Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified maple wood ceilings and casework; and high performance mechanical systems, such as a radiant floor slab and displacement ventilation. The Welcome Center is forecast to serve over 50,000 annual visitors.
