CHICAGO (March 2019) We are pleased to announce the promotion of Renee Sprogis-Marohn, AIA and Ben Wrigley, AIA to Principal.

Renee Sprogis-Marohn, AIA

Joining SCB in 2011 as a Project Architect, Renee quickly asserted herself as a leader within the SCB Interiors Studio. As a Project Manager, she worked closely with senior leadership to grow the SCB Interiors Studio and in 2014 assumed the role of Studio Leader, managing the operations of a 40+ person team with a portfolio of high-profile projects around the country. In addition to her role as Studio Leader, Renee was instrumental in managing many large, complex projects and a key team member in developing a multi-year relationship with United Airlines, one of SCB’s largest clients.

“Renee has demonstrated a tremendous amount of dedication to the Interiors team and to the firm as a whole. Her admirable work ethic, no-nonsense leadership style, and sense of humor have helped carry us through many successes.”

Sheyla Conforte, IIDA, NCIDQ, LEED AP, Principal and Executive Director of Interior Design, SCB

Ben Wrigley, AIA

Ben is a seasoned architect with over 20 years of experience designing urban multi-family and mixed-use projects across the globe. He joined SCB’s Chicago office in 2004 as a Project Architect, and three years later moved to San Francisco to help establish the firm’s west coast office. As a Studio Leader, Ben has helped foster a design culture at the firm rooted in collaboration and creativity. He has lead the design of some of SCB’s most notable and award-winning west coast projects including Park Lane Ala Moana in Honolulu and 1900 Broadway in Oakland.

“As luck would have it, 2007 turned out to be a challenging time to open a new practice with the onset of the economic downturn; however, Ben was central to our success, being part of the team that pursued new work and ensuring that the ongoing projects were of the highest quality.”
