SCB Announces ENR 2022 Top Lists Rankings
Engineering News-Record has released its 2022 Top Lists and SCB is proud to be recognized in the Top Design Firms (#237) as well as eight out of ten regional lists – including a debut in the Mountain States. With new offices in Seattle and Boston helping to bolster growth across a national portfolio of work, the firm continues to rise in the annual rankings.
Featured: Glasgow Dining Commons at the University of California, Riverside is a new 800+ seat dining facility located adjacent to Dundee Residence Hall. The 52,000 square-foot all-you-care-to-eat facility offers six unique food venues, including a central demonstration kitchen and exhibition bakery, as well as a grab-and-go convenience store.
Featured: Spring Garden is a 12-story mixed-use residential building that establishes a strong presence in Philadelphia’s burgeoning Northern Liberties neighborhood through an enhanced pedestrian, retail, and living experience. While presenting a contemporary design to the changing neighborhood, the building takes inspiration from the area’s industrial heritage.
Featured: 400 N Elizabeth is part of the rapidly growing life science and biotechnology sector in Chicago. The 500,000-square-foot project combines labs, office, and research support spaces, as well as tenant amenities. Targeting LEED Silver and WELL Certification, the building incorporates the latest in health safety and technology with an emphasis on environmental sustainability.
Featured: 200 East Broadway is a 31-story tower adding apartments to the burgeoning urban residential market in downtown Salt Lake City. The design is inspired by the area’s legacy of copper mining; the world’s largest copper mine, Kennecott, is located just outside the city.
Featured: AMLI Redmond Way represents the redevelopment of a former retail strip mall into a vibrant, transit-oriented residential community in Redmond, Washington. Located amidst a commercial retail district, the site is unique in its proximity to a smaller-scale historic district to the west and the Redmond Central Connector, a new light rail line, running along its south side. The project is targeting LEED Gold.
Featured: Nashville’s Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences is a 40-story, mixed-use development located in the city’s SoBro neighborhood, and composed of luxury condominium units, a 5-star hotel, and retail. The project’s impact on both the street level and the skyline of the city was a significant design driver for the project.
Featured: Arizona State University’s Tooker House is a new living learning community for first-year students at the Fulton School of Engineering. The designers sought to create a building that could endure and leverage the harsh desert climate. The siting and massing were developed through extensive shading studies, ultimately resulting in a LEED Gold certification.
Featured: Boulevard Place is a 32-story mixed-use development that brings apartments and office space to Houston’s Galleria neighborhood. The four floors of office space are the headquarters for the project’s developer, The Hanover Company. Next door, Post Oak is a 29-story, LEED-certified residential tower that respects and responds to the business and shopping district with a sweeping curved facade to provide a strong sense of identity and place.
