Solomon Cordwell Buenz (SCB) is pleased to welcome Sarah Jakubowski Maraccini as an Associate in the firm’s Chicago office. Sarah brings over twenty years of experience in relationship-building and a personal love of design and architecture to the firm. In her role as Director of Business Development for Interior Design, Sarah will work closely with firm leadership to continue to capitalize upon the success of the firm’s commercial and residential practice.

“The nature of space and the environments in which we live and work have changed,” said Sheyla Conforte, principal and executive director of SCB Interiors. “This has really opened the door for new ways of thinking about design and has us energized as we move forward in considering what’s next. Our clients are looking for our expertise now more than ever. We are glad to have Sarah join our team to strengthen our partnerships as we work to define the future of design and architecture.”

A native Chicagoan, Sarah spent 15 years leading the fundraising efforts of City of Hope’s Midwest Regional Office. During her tenure, she became deeply entrenched in the city’s commercial real estate, construction, and design communities, each of which were major contributors to the organization’s initiatives. She then joined a commercial interiors firm where she served as Director of Business Development.

“I was drawn to SCB by the firm’s long design legacy in the city and how it has steadily expanded its team and grown, as well as diversified, its portfolio work,” said Maraccini. “I’m excited to be part of SCB’s continued success.”
