How long have you been at SCB?
How did you end up at SCB?
I moved to Chicago from Detroit after graduation. After my first year in the city, I applied to SCB because of my desire to work on large projects around the country.
What initially attracted you to study design or pursue a career in design?
I am driven by a desire to identify challenges and work out unique solutions that ultimately result in making something better. Architecture is a natural fit for a curious mind that is always looking at the world with a unique perspective.
What’s the best professional advice you’ve ever received?
Know your project. You have the opportunity to be an integral part of the solution. The more you immerse yourself in the project, the more rewarding your efforts will be.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love the fact that what we do impacts our world. We are part of a larger moment in time and these buildings will be standing long after we are. The hours can be long and the challenges can be daunting, but when it all comes together, the feeling of pride and accomplishment is overwhelming.
