Alex is an Associate Principal, Studio Leader, and Project Manager in SCB’s Chicago office.  Building on 20+ years of experience, Alex is responsible for managing client communications, leading project teams, and overseeing project delivery.  Her management approach fosters shared responsibility and goals, and she is passionate about guiding teams to find the best possible solutions for each unique opportunity.  Drawing from her varied project experiences and contributions through her many roles on projects throughout her career, Alex has developed a deep understanding of project needs.

Prior to joining SCB, Alex practiced at notable Chicago design firms working primarily on high-profile, large- and medium-scaled multifamily residential projects. Her diverse portfolio of work also includes adaptive re-use, corporate headquarters, and educational environments. This mix of projects with savvy clients has strengthened her professional approach and given her a unique perspective on design and successful project delivery.

Alex attended Cornell University, where she participated in the semester in Rome program and earned her Bachelor of Architecture. She is a licensed architect in Illinois and member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as well as the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
