Kristen O’Gorman is a Principal in SCB’s Boston office, where she has played a key role in the growth and expansion of the firm’s presence in the region and beyond. With over a decade of experience, Kristen brings a diverse portfolio of work including life science, commercial office, adaptive reuse, mixed-use and university projects.

Kristen’s approach to design considers how architecture performs across multiple scales, from the experience of the individual user to the impact a building has on its broader context. Her design process is highly collaborative and client-focused, working closely with teams from early concept through delivery and realization. She brings a particular focus to sustainability and resiliency, balancing efficiency, moderation, and long-term performance while creating healthy, high-performing environments.

A recent signature project led by Kristen is Solvias, a state-of-the-art life sciences facility that exemplifies SCB’s integrated approach to laboratory planning, workplace strategy, and building performance. The project reflects Kristen’s ability to translate complex technical requirements into flexible, forward-looking environments that support scientific innovation and growth.

Kristen is also a leader for SCB’s 776 Summer Street project with HRP in South Boston, where she is guiding the rehabilitation of the historic 1898 Turbine Hall and the design of an 18-story vertically stacked hotel and residential tower as part of the site’s broader transformation into a mixed-use waterfront district.

Kristen is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), NCARB, and NAIOP, and is a LEED Green Associate. She received both her Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Roger Williams University.
