Kristy is an Associate Principal, Studio Leader, and Project Manager at SCB. She is well-versed in managing projects in a range of sectors and building types, including higher education, student housing, senior living, public sector work, and K-12 schools. With over 20 years of experience, Kristy is responsible for all aspects of technical oversight, management, client, and staff communication on a wide variety of projects, overseeing the business and contractual relationship between the client and the project team. Kristy also supervises the collaborative work that takes place between SCB staff and the Principal-in-Charge during all stages of a project. She organizes the work efforts of the project team and works to keep the project on schedule and on budget by monitoring these efforts continually throughout the project.
Kristy leads SCB’s work with the Chicago Housing Authority and Chicago Public Schools. She has extensive renovation and adaptive reuse experience, and understands the challenges and opportunities posed by renovation projects. Her renovation experience played a crucial role in SCB’s renovation of Manzanita Hall, an iconic student residence at Arizona State University, which was awarded the SCUP/AIA CAE Honor Award for Excellence in Architecture for Restoration or Preservation. Kristy graduated from the University of Kentucky’s College of Architecture and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
