Scott Seyer is a Principal at SCB with more than 25 years of professional experience designing large-scale projects around the globe including high-profile office projects, hotels, mixed-use developments, and higher education facilities. Scott’s design philosophy is based on creating context-driven design solutions that are innovative yet rooted in efficient and pragmatic ideas.

Prior to joining SCB, Scott was a Principal at Goettsch Partners, where he served as the principal designer on several award-winning projects including three premier downtown Chicago office towers—the recently completed, 815-foot tall, 55-story tower at 110 North Wacker Drive, home to Bank of America; the LEED Gold (recently recertified as LEED Platinum), 48-story 155 North Wacker Drive; and the 680-foot tall 111 South Wacker Drive. Additionally, Scott was the principal-in-charge of the 46-story Park Tower at Transbay, completed with SCB as Associate Architect, and now home to Facebook. Scott’s international portfolio is comprised of several high-rise developments in Asia and the Middle East, including the Al Hilal Bank office building in Abu Dhabi. Scott was also the principal designer on the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Center for the Musical Arts at Northwestern University.

Scott received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas and a Master of Business Administration from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. Scott has participated on juries with AIA Chicago, as well as multiple speaking engagements that focus on office design and emerging trends.
