Ted Strand is a Principal at SCB, where he oversees the firm’s business development initiatives, pursuit strategies, and internal and external team formation for all market sectors. His 30+ years of national and international large-scale, mixed-use, urban planning, and aviation projects provides him with a unique understanding of commercial and institutional markets and regional influences.
After receiving his Bachelor and Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he was a design instructor for the University’s Versailles, France program at the Ecoles des Beaux Artes. Prior to joining SCB, he was an Associate Partner with Skidmore Owings & Merrill and was the firm’s Director of Far East Operations in Hong Kong from 1995-1999. Previously, Ted worked in Boston with The Architects Collaborative and then went on to become a founding member of Elkus Manfredi Architects. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Sculpture Society, and the Urban Land institute (ULI).
