Solomon Cordwell Buenz in Seattle, WA is looking for Designers Technical II. Qualified candidates will be responsible under the supervision of a licensed Architect for contributing to general preparation of design and technical drawings, design representations, studies and reports, design renderings and working drawings and solutions to architectural problems using Rhino, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and graphic illustration; Exhibiting detailed understanding of project design philosophy and adhering to this philosophy in performance of assigned work; Developing details, coordinating work with others on project team and with outside project consultants; Communicating with project team and outside parties regarding specific tasks and/or project related questions and documenting the outcome of those communications; Exhibiting detailed understanding of building materials and systems, details and construction techniques; Exhibiting understanding of zoning, building and accessibility code requirements as they relate to the project and conforming work to such regulations; and Reviewing shop drawings, preparing supplemental architectural instructions to contractor and responding to contractor’s requests for information during construction phase under supervision of the project Architect.

Salary

$70,000 to $90,000/yr.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Architecture and one year’s experience in position or one year’s experience in Architecture field.

Special requirements

Experience with preparing technical drawings, design representations, design renderings and working drawings, Rhino, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and graphic illustration. Telecommuting may be permitted.
