Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join SCB’s Chicago-based marketing team. The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in the firm’s most essential marketing goals and programs. This individual is creative and employs a strategic mindset; they are able to connect the dots between firm-wide goals and the marketing team’s functions and processes. This is an in-person role.

The Marketing Coordinator will collaborate with the marketing team to help the firm pursue and win new business, promote the firm’s portfolio and expertise, and enhance and expand the SCB brand. The successful candidate will bring strong design and visual skills, a detail-oriented precision towards their work and craft, and the ability to communicate effectively with peers, colleagues, and leadership. Detailed Role Description

The Marketing Coordinator will join SCB’s marketing team, which is comprised of a manager, communications leader/writer, coordinators, and a graphic designer. This department is responsible for the development, management, and execution of proposals, presentations (interview, client, and public), collateral, firm communications and digital presence, public relations, photography, award submissions, and all other marketing focused activities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Production)

  • Coordinating the design, creation, and production of proposals from beginning to end.
  • Working with Principals and the firm’s business development team to develop a strategy to win; creating outlines and workplans and organizing the team; gathering required information.
  • Designing and producing proposals, presentations, and collateral using SCB graphic standards.
  • Creating marketing materials including such as digital graphics, print materials, portfolios, brochures, posters, and signage.
  • Maintaining a library of firm collateral such as resumes, project pages, project lists, and photography.
  • Updating marketing information systems such as Deltek database and other resources.
  • Interfacing with project managers for project information and coordination.
  • Collaborating on firm-wide marketing projects.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities (Marketing Functions)

  • Curating the SCB website and keeping it current with new projects, people, news, and content.
  • Tracking website metrics and providing analysis to guide content, UX/design, and web functionality.
  • Working with outside vendors to plan and execute specific digital strategies.
  • Working with the Director to research keywords and implement SEO best practices.
  • Overseeing the award submittal process in collaboration with the Director; plan, track and submit SCB for targeted awards annually.

Essential Skills/Attributes

  • Candidates should have 1-3 years relevant experience (AEC industry related is a plus).
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • High proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office.
  • A successful candidate will be a creative and strategic thinker who excels at collaborating with a team.
  • Must be extremely organized and demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
  • This is a deadline-driven work environment, so the candidate must be proactive and have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage their time accordingly.
