923 Folsom Street revitalizes parcels that are currently underutilized through the development of 115 apartment units in an industrial area near downtown San Francisco.
The project site in the west SOMA neighborhood is part of the Eastern Neighborhoods Area Plan and is targeting LEED certification. 923 Folsom will provide new housing and retail space near emerging downtown social media and technology employment centers. This nine-story, 139,000-square-foot building provides an architectural standard that exceeds the goals of the Eastern Neighborhood’s community vision for urban infill design, density, mixed-use, and “smart transportation.” The building’s location is less than a block from many public transit lines that access Bay Area Regional Transit (BART) and Caltrain stations, promoting regional growth. The warm earthy tones and vaulted ceilings create a spacious, welcoming feel upon returning home.
The lobby features a grand wooden bookcase, contemporary art, and steel frame custom-made furniture.
