SCB was engaged by CIBC to complete a 80,000-square-foot restack and expansion of their Chicago office, located at 70 West Madison. The current office is situated on one floor; the SCB team expanded and renovated the entire space.
Although some new design standards were implemented, the team used much of the space’s existing conditions. The new office environment is team-oriented and functional, supporting CIBC’s position as a collaborative, productive, and innovative company in the Chicago marketplace. A variety of collaboration spaces were added, and the design team created more efficient, functional layouts for the space. During the programming phase of this project, SCB delivered a space occupancy program report. The report included organizational diagrams, adjacency and business process requirements, and stacking diagrams.
